The Thermax TC40G and TC60G

The Thermax TC40G low-rpm and TC60G moderate-rpm generators were originally designed for the Windstream wind generator that would become a core product for Thermax Corporation. The TC40G nominal power rating was 40 watts and the TC60G was rated 60 watts. They were capable of up to 240 and 360 watts respectively at 4500 rpm for short periods. The stainless steel shaft was user-selectable with either 5/16" or 1/2" diameter. The internal brushes were field-replaceable. Before the Internet, sales were direct to the user by way of ads in magazines like Popular Science and Popular Mechanics.
